Lodging and Meals

For students and postdocs who will be presenting a poster, we will provide housing at no cost in a UChicago residence hall within walking distance of the Rubenstein Forum, where the meeting will take place. Please note that our residence halls also serve several other summer programs, and attendees may have to share a room.

For all other meeting participants, we have arranged a hotel block at The Study, which is next door to the Rubenstein Forum. Our negotiated rate is $229/night + 17.4% tax for Deluxe King and $239/night + 17.4% tax for Deluxe Double rooms.

Guests are asked to reserve their rooms no later than July 9 either by phone (773.643.1600) or email ([email protected]). Please make sure to mention that your reservation is part of the “SEES Room Block.” 

Check-in and check-out times are 3pm and 12pm, respectively. Attendees may request a slightly later checkout time on Wednesday, August 12, or ask to store their luggage at the front desk at no extra charge. Cancellations must be made by 3pm Central Time the day before the reservation begins in order to avoid incurring charges.
