The Center for Advanced Radiation Sources at the University of Chicago seeks applications for a Programming Analyst to assist with software programming and computer support. The position will be located at GSECARS sector 13 of the Advanced Photon Source, Argonne National Laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Maintain web content for the GSECARS scientific research community.
- Develop tools for collecting, processing, and cataloging scientific data and metadata.
- Deploy and manage web-based applications for distributing scientific datasets.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux computers.
- Upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot ethernet networks.
- Works with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for developmental programs. Receives a moderate/high level of guidance to design applications to meet University and business requirements.
- Performs code testing on components and works to ensure that appropriate implementation standards are met.
- Performs other related work as needed.
