As part of the American Crystallographic Association 2025 Conference, beamline staff led tours highlighting SEES facilities and science at the Advanced Photon Source at Argonne National Laboratory. Visiting groups were organized by scientific focus, including Chemical Crystallography and Materials, and toured multiple beamlines across the facility.
Haiyan Chen and Tim Officer hosted groups at beamline 6-BM, presenting on the Large Volume Press (LVP) program and guiding visitors through the broader synchrotron context.
At Sector 13, GSECARS staff Joanne Stubbs, Mark Rivers, and Stella Chariton introduced visitors to beamline capabilities and discussed synchrotron techniques used in Earth and planetary science.
These visits offered attendees an inside look at the scientific work supported by SEES and the facilities at APS.
