Call for beamtime proposals opens on January 29, 2024.
The Advanced Photon Source is pleased to announce that it will be opening its first call for user scientific proposals using the new Universal Proposal System (UPS). A call for proposals for cycle 2024-3 for a selection of the APS Feature Beamlines will open on January 29, 2024.
This call is for beam time requests for cycle 2024-3 on these feature beamlines:
• POLAR: 4-ID Polarization Modulation Spectroscopy
• XPCS: 8-ID X-ray Photon Correlation Spectroscopy
• HEXM: 20-ID High-energy X-ray Microscope
• ISN: 19-ID In-situ Nanoprobe
• CSSI: 9-ID Coherent Surface Scattering Imaging
In order to submit and/or be listed on an APS proposal, users must:
1. Have an APS/Argonne badge number (if you do not currently have an APS/Argonne badge number, please register as a user)
2. Log into the UPS platform at least once and create a profile
Authentication into the UPS is via ORCiD – please do not create a new ORCiD if you have an existing ORCiD.
