2025 SR2A Conference

SR2A 2025 brings together archaeologists, conservation and materials scientists, conservators, and researchers from all disciplines with experience in large-scale research facilities, as well as curators, cultural heritage managers, art historians, and potential users of synchrotrons. The conference will offer a unique and highly stimulating environment for discussion and networking on the innovative use of synchrotron and neutron radiation to investigate cultural heritage materials and artifacts.

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the next edition of the SR2A conference. The event will offer a platform for discussing and explore recent advancements and applications of synchrotron radiation in the field of cultural heritage studies.

The 3-day event will take place on October 7-9, 2025. Hosted by Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Lightsource and Getty Conservation Institute, the conference program will offer keynotes and lectures on technical advancement in instrumentation and analysis, and recent applications to cultural heritage materials.

The Emerging Professionals Community will have the opportunity to engage in a dedicated Seminar on October 6, 2025.

A Data Analysis workshop will be available upon registration after the conference on October 10, 2025.
