A Reminder to All Interested SEES Users that the Deadline for new APS Proposals and Experiment Time Requests for the 2026-2 Run Cycle is March 4, 2026 at 2:00 PM (Chicago time). All SEES beamlines at the APS (Sector 13, 3-ID, 6-BM-B) will be accepting general user proposals. Users submitting new proposals are strongly encouraged to reach out to beamline staff before submission to evaluate any feasibility questions.

Submit new general user proposals or time requests against existing proposals (ETR’s) using the Universal Proposal System:

Users that are Foreign Nationals should also be aware that updated access requirements at Argonne may delay approval of access requests for foreign nationals by up to 45 days. Therefore all potential new users on a proposal are strongly encouraged to begin their user registrations early, optimally at the time of proposal submission. This will help avoid problems in scheduling Experimental Time Requests.
