Abstract Submission and Registration for Coherence 2026 are now open! 

Coherence 2026 will be held June 21-25, 2026 on the beautiful University of Wisconsin-Madison campus in Madison, WI, USA. The conference features exciting presentations on the development of optical coherence techniques using X-rays, electrons, and extreme ultraviolet radiation and their applications across a wide range of scientific frontiers. Madison continues the long-standing tradition of waterfront locations conducive to insightful and inspiring collegial discussions.  Whether you are an experienced practitioner or just getting started this is an excellent opportunity to learn and share ideas about these powerful methods.

Travel Support Available for Earth and Environmental Scientists

NSF SEES (Synchrotron Earth and Environmental Science) is pleased to offer a limited number of travel awards to support Earth and environmental scientists attending Coherence 2026. These awards are intended to help offset costs associated with attending the meeting (e.g., registration, lodging, and domestic travel), with preference given to students and early career researchers.

Interested participants should email [email protected] with:

  • an estimated travel budget
  • a brief statement of interest (1–2 short paragraphs) describing their research and how attending the meeting would benefit them
  • a current CV
Requests for SEES support must be received by March 15. Applicants will be notified by April 1, ahead of the early-bird registration deadline of April 13.
