eBERlight 101: Application of X-ray methods in biological and environmental research
The eBERlight Team is pleased to announce the second workshop, “eBERlight 101: Application of X-ray methods in biological and environmental research”, to be held February 11–13, 2026, at Argonne National Laboratory. The goal is to help participants incorporate synchrotron X-ray methods into their research toolkit to study the physical and chemical properties of bioenvironmental systems, including plants, soils, and microbes.
This three-day, hands-on workshop will educate the user community about the Advanced Photon Source (APS) capabilities and their applications in bioenvironmental science, with a focus on three key synchrotron-based techniques:
Participants will gain experience in data collection and analysis, explore sample preparation, and engage in discussions of individual projects. The program combines fundamental technique talks, scientific case studies, and hands-on sessions using facility-provided samples.
